Musiques swing pour "Routines Jazz" ou danses de groupe
Les routines jazz sont des enchaînements de pas standard de Jazz souvent incorporés dans le Lindy-hop (Shim Sham, Cross Over, Tackie Annie, Suzy Q, Boogie Forward, Boogie back, Apple Jack, Shorty George...).
Ces danses de groupe contribuent pour beaucoup à la convivialité des rassemblements de swingueurs. Et, quand le DJ lance, au moment opportun, la musique d'une routine, tous les membres de la "communauté swing" exécutent avec une grande connivence et un réel plaisir la chorégraphie adéquate.
La liste des musiques proposées n'est bien sûr pas exhaustive. Quand c'est possible, nous proposons l'orchestration d'origine et une interprétation récente.

pour le Shim Sham :
La paternité du Shim Sham est attribuée à Leonard Reed, pionnier de tap-dance à la fin des années 20 (site : theatredance.com) et sa partenaire de danse Willie Bryant.
Il existe plusieurs versions du Shim Sham. On peut citer celles de Dean Collins et de Frankie Manning. Le Shim Sham est dansé sur plusieurs musiques ayant une structure Swing régulière AABA (l'ensemble AABA forme un structure complète de 32 mesures que l'on appelle grille) : T'Ain't What You Do, Stompin' At The Savoy, Tuxedo Junction, Opus One, Hep & Happy...
